The
Adornment
Passage
A shared process of personal myth-making materialized in metal.
The COst
I've shaped this to be as accessible as possible. If you're someone who can afford silver jewellery, you can afford to start making your own, and after initial setup, making your own pieces becomes not only a lot more affordable, but deeply rewarding.
I’ll share a list of essential tools and materials to begin with on a minimal budget, with options to add over time depending on your needs.
The cost of participation in The Adornment Passage is €177, with the option to pay in four monthly instalments of €47.
For those drawn to work with me personally, I also offer rare one-on-one guidance.
The Format
We’ll move online as a cohort group, gathering live at the beginning, middle, and end of the 12-week cycle to reflect on the journey together, culminating in an online group exhibition. Video lessons will be released weekly, each with projects to explore, supported by a private group space to share progress, exchange feedback, and connect with one another.
This beginner-friendly course is designed to accommodate those balancing work or study with room to catch up and a pace that keeps the creative momentum flowing.
The Method
We’ll be sculpting the pieces in wax using the lost-wax method. The metal casting will be outsourced, and I’ll provide detailed instructions and context to simplify that part of the process. Once the pieces are cast, we’ll finish them at home. This method is ideal for rings and pendants, which we’ll focus on, and I’ll also reveal my signature technique of combining silver with a special resin.
Unlike the traditional approach taught in jeweller’s studios, this is my own adapted method, suited to creating pieces in my organic style, refined to minimise complexity, exclude sawing or soldering and maximise the enjoyment of the process.
The Practice
At its heart, this practice is about finding your unique voice to create jewellery that becomes a tangible reflection of your true Self.
My approach is rooted in simplicity, depth and play. We'll move beyond technique to focus on the meditative process of making with meaning, uncovering your symbolic language as a passage to finding your creative voice.
