The Journey
The Adornment Passage follows a mythopoetic pattern: the descent, the turning point, and the return. Its timing is aligned with the visible path of Venus, the planet of beauty, to be a symbolic guiding star for the transformation at the heart of this journey - the soul remembering its true form.

The descent of the Morning Star
The Descent
Letting go into the chaos of creation, meeting the hidden symbols of the soul
✦ Week 1 - The Maker's Table
This is where you find your tools and materials and set up your maker's table.
I'll show you what I found to work best for me and guide you to find what would best suits you.
✦ Week 2 - Symbols of the Soul
As your materials gather, we explore your symbolic language inspired by Jungian art therapy and do concept research to ground your work in meaning before the making begins.
✦ Week 3 - Chaos and Flow
We begin by making your first ring using minimal tools using the additive method as an easy introduction to the medium. The focus is on play and process as you learn to ‘dance with the wax’ - the free-flow technique that I primarily use in my own practice.
✦ Week 4 - Order and Refinement
We shift to a more deliberate approach, the subtractive method, learning to carve wax in refined forms.
✦ Week 5 - Finding Form
Building on your concept research and work with symbols, we move into creative study and design development. This stage turns ideas into concrete directions for pieces in your own style.

✦ Week 6 - The Anamulet
Everything we've worked on up to this turning point comes together as you make your Anamulet✶ - a truly unique piece of jewellery that is a tangible reminder of your true self.
✶ Amulet + Anamnesis - Platonic idea of the soul remembering its true form.

Lunar Occultation of Mars
The Return
Myth to metal, growth through play, breaking the rules to find your path
✦ Week 7 - Casting Metal
We turn to the practicalities of casting: choosing and communicating with a casting house, preparing your wax pieces for metal pouring, and understanding how to calculate the cost of each piece.
✦ Week 8 - Finishing Silver
We bring your raw cast pieces to life learning to file, sand, polish and oxidise to achieve the surface finish and feel you want.
✦ Week 9 - Personal Practice
We look at contemporary art jewellery versus traditional jewellery and explore topics such as "what makes it art?" and "breaking the rules" to open space for new forms of personal practice and shape a contextually relevant unique point of view.
✦ Week 10 - Material Play
I share my personal technique of adding resin to silver to embellish and create additional pieces such as earrings. From there, it's play time! You’re encouraged to experiment with materials and develop your own technique that make your work stand out.
✦ Week 11 - Preparing to Be Seen
Time to prepare for the online group exhibition where your process rather than the product will be the star of the show.
